Description:
Abstract:
Spatial Interaction Models (SIMs) are an important scientific field and are widely used in geography, economics and engineering. They are designed to study the flows between certain geographical areas. Such flows are mainly commuting, migration, and travelling flows as well as flows of money or goods. SIMs are applied in trade and logistics, internal and international migration, and the definitions of travel-to-work areas (TTWAs). In this book the theory presented will be applied to internal migration.
