Abstract:
In addition to the classical hypothesis testing, and statistical measurements for performance statistics -known as Goodness of fit Statistics - there are other statistical tests specific to spatial data. This chapter presents the classic hypothesis testing relating to global linear models as well as hypothesis testing and goodness of fit statistics for local models. Also there is a discussion of issues such as controlling for local multicollinearity and multiple hypothesis. These issues have not been adequately presented in the literature of spatial analysis.
