Abstract: |
This chapter presents the basic biomechanical characteristics of selected movements from various team sports. These include the soccer kick, the basketball shot, the volleyball spike and the handball throw. For each of these techniques, the basic kinematic, kinetic and electromyographic characteristics are presented with an emphasis on the determinants of performance. Finally, methodological considerations for the biomechanical analysis of each movement are discussed.
