Description:
Abstract:
This chapter presents the basic laws of mechanics which govern human motion such as the Newton’s laws (laws of action-reaction, acceleration, inertia) providing examples from sports practice and training. Further, there is a detailed presentation of various types of force-related parameters such as forces, pressure, torque, joint forces and torques, impulse and momentum. There is an introduction to static and dynamic analysis of forces with examples on statics including detailed free-body diagrams of the applied forces. Static analysis is used to describe conditions of equilibrium of an object as well as conditions of alteration of this balance. The static analysis is also linked with the conditions of maintaining balancing in a static position
