Abstract: |
This chapter presents the types of human motion (linear and rotational), the basic variables of kinematic analysis (displacement, velocity and acceleration), the interpretation of kinematic variables as vectors via real examples, common errors, the importance of average and instantaneous kinematic values, the role of calibration systems and points for kinematic analysis, the determination of point and segment position using coordinate systems, the determination of body motion in space, the methods of calculating kinematic data (central differences method) and the steps of calculating the center of mass from a set of kinematic data.
