Abstract: |
The Simple Random Sampling (SRS) technique it a basic kind of sampling with interesting for theortical and theoretical and practical purposes. Some basic ideas and random number tables are described. Estimation and estimators themes are studied for the parameters of several random variables. Some rules for define the size of a random sample are also presented. The properties of the estimators, like bias, unbiasedness, etc., are presented. Estimation for percentages in SRS are a part of this chapter. A short part is also dealing with sampling with replacement. A special paragraph is dealing with Coefficient of Variation (Cv) and its connection with many applications. Here is presented the connection of Cv with sampling and the distribution functions of several random variables. This is a relatevely new idea growing up from the year 2000. Two parts in this chapter are for examples and exercises.
